A Luthier built guitar, from milling the wood to making a beautiful guitar
Due to the boutique nature of handmade guitars, the choices in wood, hardware, and final finishes result in varying material and time costs. It's best to use the contact me section to set up a chat to discuss your unique electric guitar.
You have a guitar that you'd like to give a new lease of life. Please contact me to discuss any of your requirements. If you are interested in any repair work, please get in touch to discuss pick up/drop off in the local area.
Much like crafting handmade guitars, the process of guitar restoration and redesigning your current guitar can vary significantly. You might consider adding a new top or replacing the fret board with something more exciting, especially if you're aiming for unique electric guitars. Each of these options will involve material costs as well as labour costs. Please contact me with your requirements to see if it is something that I can assist you with.
If you have tired frets with signs of wear, a fret level, crown, and polish could be all you need to restore your guitar's feel and playability back to what it once was. Please note that strings are not included. If the frets are assessed and found to be beyond repair, then you might want to consider a re-fret.
Removal and replacement of all frets is sometimes the best option. The frets will be levelled and dressed for optimal performance. Please note that strings are not included. If your instrument features a lacquered or bound fret board, please contact me, as the price will differ.
Often a new nut can bring a new lease of life to your guitar restoration project. I will remove your old nut and replace it with a new bone nut.
