About Me

Hi, my name is Carl.

I've always been a creative, whether that be taking the best photos for someone's property back in my Estate Agency days, or song writing and performing bands throughout high school, college and beyond.  I've always built using wood; from furniture to kitchens, decking and sheds.  I've always loved music; attending gigs, playing, sitting and listening with family and friends.  I've followed my passions by attending various courses over the years to develop my practical skills and knowledge.

After a couple of years of restoring some of my own guitars/basses, I chose to start building for myself.  After a year of locking in my designs and deciding what I wanted to create, I finally took the plunge to immerse myself fully, and start Shepherd Guitars.  It was time to combine my love of creation with wood and music and start to share something with others - Beautiful, handcrafted, exotic wood electric boutique guitars and basses.
